Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda on Tuesday sustained an accidental bullet injury in his home in Mumbai. He was rushed to a hospital and is out of danger.
The accident took place at 4.45 am when he was getting ready for a trip to Kolkata.
He has sustained a bullet injury to his knee.
The 60-year-old was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, said the actor was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. His revolver fell from his hand and a bullet was accidentally fired.
"Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He kept his licensed revolver in the cupboard when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," the manager told ANI.

Govinda, 60, was taken for treatment to the Criticare hospital.

Govinda'a acting career
Govind Arun Ahuja, better known by his stage name Govinda, is a popular actor, comedian, dancer and singer who has appeared in more than 165 Hindi-language films.
Govinda is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood who made his acting debut in the late 1980s. He began his career in action and drama films but made his mark in comedy in the 1990s.
He has acted in 165 Hindi-language movies.
Govinda is best known for his smooth dialogue delivery, superb comic timing and dance moves.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he acted in many hit films, including, Ilzaam, Marte Dam Tak, Khudgarz, Dariya Dil, Jaisi Karni Waisi, Bharni, Swarg and Hum.
Later, he appeared in several superhit comedy movies, including Shola Aur Shabnam, Aankhen and Raja Babu.
In the late 1990s, he established himself as a mega comedy star with hits like Coolie No.1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Deewana Mastana, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Anari No.1, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Jodi No. 1.
He won the national elections in 2004 and was a Congress MP for five years. In March, a month before the Lok Sabha elections, Govinda joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
