As the CBI intensifies probe over the Delhi liquor policy, a circular has been issued by the central agency against deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and other accused in the case. This follows the 14-hour-long searches at Sisodia's home on Friday. An FIR was then filed in the matter against more than 10 people, including the Delhi deputy chief minister.
Now, the circular underlines restrictions on Sisodia and others from travelling abroad. With this, immigration authorities "are alerted in case anyone travels out of India,” an officer was quoted as saying in an HT report.
Taking a fresh jibe at the central government, the Delhi deputy CM on Sunday morning targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet. “All your raids failed and you found nothing… now you have issued a lookout circular that Manish Sisodia can't be found," his tweet - roughly translated from Hindi - read.
“What is this gimmick Modi ji…I am roaming freely in Delhi. Can't you find me? Please tell me where to come?” he added.

On Sunday, the Delhi deputy CM tweeted an old video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he is talking about CBI misuse. The video on Modi's remarks dates back to the time when he was the chief minister of Gujarat.
A day before, Sisodia had posted on Twitter that the excise policy - against which the raids were carried out - "is the best in the country". "If they (the central government) had not got the policy changed - 48 hours before its implementation - it would have got the state an annual revenue of ₹10,000 crore," he said.
