Three days after report surfaced that Bihar MP Ranjeet Ranjan, wife of Pappu Yadav, was allegedly forced to change her seat by Air Vistara’s staff, the air hostess in question has come out in the open about her side of the story.

Bihar MP Ranjeet Ranjan, wife of MP Pappu Yadav, claims that she was forced to change her seat after Air Vistara air hostess told her she had the authority to shift her.

The air hostess, Aisarya Sattar, has written a Facebook post to give her version of the incident.

The MP had claimed that the chief air hostess told her she had the authority to shift her. The MP shifted to another seat but later complained to the Lok Sabha speaker and ministry of civil aviation about the air hostess’ “rude” behaviour. The incident took place on a Bagdogra-Delhi flight.

“She threatened me saying ‘mein dekh lungi tumhe’. And I guess it came true. If this is not VIP culture then what is,” she told HT over the phone.

Sattar, who is working with Vistara for the past two years, said she is from the family of freedom fighter and her husband is in the Indian Army, so she will fight against the wrong.

Ranjan, however, refused to comment on the allegations made by the air-hostess.

“During the course of our investigation, we found that the crew in question violated certain policies and provided misleading, incorrect and inconsistent information. We have not concluded our probe yet. She has tendered her resignation entirely of her own accord, which is pending approval,” said a spokesperson of the airlines.
