Recruitments will now be made on the basis of written examination and minimum educational qualification.

Presiding over a meeting of administrative secretaries, the chief secretary said the interview system has been eliminated in recruitment to Group-C and D categories. He said various departments will make amendments in service rules at their own level without taking approval from the cabinet, general administration department or finance department.

He said employees or persons already having computer qualifications such as BCA, MCA, BTech or MTech in computers from reputed institutions, diploma in computers from government polytechnics, Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited, Hartron, DOEACC or NIELIT will be exempted from the State Eligibility Test.

The state government has dissolved the selection committees constituted by the general administration department for conducting interviews of the candidates against the vacancies of Group-D posts with immediate effect. In its last meeting, the cabinet decided to do away with the interview system during the selection process in case of recruitment to Group-C and D posts.
