A 45-year-old man was found dead in a parked car at a mall in east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar on Monday evening, police said, and added there were no visible injury marks and the case appears to be a natural death.

Investigators said there was no suspicious movement or involvement of any other person.

Police said the matter was reported around 5.55pm. They added that a team rushed to the spot and found the body of the man, identified as Narender Kumar, inside the vehicle.

“On preliminary inspection, no external injury marks were found on the body,” said deputy police commissioner Abhishek Dhania. He added that the scene was examined, and CCTV cameras installed in the parking lot were scanned.

Investigators said there was no suspicious movement or involvement of any other person. “As per CCTV analysis, no movement of the deceased was observed after 12:05pm,” Dhania said.

Police found asthma-related medicines in Kumar’s possession, leading investigators to suspect a medical condition may have caused his death. The body has been shifted to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for preservation and post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death. Police said further legal proceedings were being carried out.
