Gokulpuri collapse: Delhi Police to quiz builder, contractor

Delhi Police will write to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to obtain the names of contractors and builders involved in the construction of the Gokulpuri Metro station, where a slab collapsed, killing one person. The Metro has also announced an inspection of all parapets on the Pink Line. DMRC is cooperating with the investigation being conducted by the Commissioner of the Metro Railway Safety (CMRS). DMRC has ordered inspections of parapets on the Pink Line to prevent future incidents.

1 killed, 4 injured as portion of Delhi’s Gokulpuri Metro station collapses

One man died and four people were injured after a section of the Gokulpuri Metro station in northeast Delhi collapsed onto commuters. Police have registered a case against the Metro contractors and builders, and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has suspended two officials for negligence. The station was shut for repairs for 8 hours after the incident. The Metro corporation has announced compensation for the victims.
