In a shocking incident, a Rohtak man allegedly told his wife to have sex with his friend after he lost Rs 5,000 to him in gambling. The victim complained to the police that his husband forced her to have physical relations with his friend on Monday night, but her neighbours saved her when she shouted for help.
The victim, a resident of Pahada Mohalla in Rohtak, said she had a love marriage with Rahul in 2008. However, a few years after their marriage, Rahul got used to drinking and gambling. “He would often bring his friends home for drinks, who would molest me after being drunk,” she said.
On Monday, Rahul brought his friend Sunil home and started drinking and gambling. He lost Rs 5,000 to Sunil In gambling. When he found he had no money, he handed over his wife to Rahul and tried to force her to have sex with him. The victim said she shouted for help and was saved by her neighbours. Soon after the incident, Rahul and his friend Sunil fled the spot.
The victim said she complained to her in-laws, who suggested her to keep quiet about the incident.

{{/usCountry}}Later on Wednesday, the woman said her husband came back home and asked her to sign papers, giving her consent for divorce. He also asked her to leave his place. The victim reached her parent’s home and narrated the incident to her father, who lodged a complaint to the police.
The police said they have booked Rahul and Sunil under rape charges and other relevant sections of the IPC. Women police station house officer inspector Garima said, “We have initiated an inquiry in the case. No one has been arrested yet. We have also booked the victim’s in-laws.”
