The Centre has announced national mourning on Monday following demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Parikar who died in Panaji Sunday evening, will be accorded a state funeral .The National Flag will fly at half-mast in New Delhi and capitals of States and Union Territories.
The Goa government has declared a one-day holiday on Monday and a seven-day mourning period.
Between 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Manohar Parrikar’s mortal remains will be kept at the BJP head office, Panjim after which it will be taken to Kala Academy in the city.
Between 11 am to 4 the public will pay their final respects to the former chief minister before the funeral procession starts for SAG grounds, Campalat.
The funeral is scheduled to take place at 4:30 pm .
The chief minister was suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer and had been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and New Delhi over the past year.
