Women in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand were seen washing the feet of chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday on the occasion of Guru Mahotsav.
At an event held on Guru Mahotsav at the Brahma Lok Dham, women washed the feet of Das on a plate full of flower petals. Das was the chief guest at the event.
Guru Purnima is marked on the full-moon day of the Hindu month Ashadha and is celebrated by the Hindus, Jains and the Buddhists to honour one’s gurus or teachers who guide us through our lives towards the path of enlightenment. The day falls in between June and July.
