Record ₹30 crore first prize set as Kerala unveils Onam bumper lottery

The tickets will go on sale from July 20, with the first prize increased from ₹25 crore last year to a record ₹30 crore.

The lottery was unveiled in a brief ceremony in the chief minister's office.

The first prize amount is the highest ever in the history of the Lottery Department, Satheesan said in a Facebook post.

The bumper lottery tickets will be available for sale starting July 20, he said.

Last year the Onam bumper lottery offered a first prize of ₹25 crore.
