  MCX Gold, Silver rates LIVE: What are the prices of MCX silver and gold today?

  MCX Gold, Silver rates LIVE: Gold and silver prices opened sharply higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (Multi Commodity Exchange of India) on Tuesday, tracking firm cues from international bullion markets.

  MCX gold April futures jumped 2.78 per cent at the open to ₹1,48,000 per 10 grams, compared with the previous close of ₹1,41,669. Prices later extended gains, rising over 6 per cent to trade near the ₹1.53 lakh mark.

  MCX silver March futures rose 4 per cent in early trade to ₹2,45,711 per kg, up from the earlier close of ₹2,36,261. The white metal continued its rally, surging nearly 13 per cent to hover around ₹2.67 lakh per kg.

  MCX Gold, Silver rates LIVE: What is happening to Silver and Gold?

  MCX Gold, Silver rates LIVE: Silver and gold prices snapped a three-day losing streak and rose sharply in the national capital on Tuesday, buoyed by firm global cues and a weaker US dollar. Silver jumped by ₹24,000 to ₹2.84 lakh per kg, while gold climbed to ₹1.57 lakh per 10 grams.

  According to the All India Sarafa Association, silver prices surged ₹24,000, or 9.23 per cent, to ₹2,84,000 per kilogram, inclusive of all taxes. The white metal had settled at ₹2,60,000 per kg on Monday after plunging ₹52,000.

  The rebound came after a steep three-day sell-off, during which silver prices had slumped ₹1,44,500, or nearly 36 per cent, from their all-time high of ₹4,04,500 per kg recorded on January 29.

  MCX silver, gold rates today LIVE: Across international markets, gold and silver prices surged on Tuesday, with gold heading for its strongest single-day gain since November 2008, as investors rushed to buy after the metals saw their sharpest two-day fall in decades.

  Spot gold jumped 5.5% to $4,921.42 an ounce by 0944 GMT, rebounding from Monday’s low of $4,403.24. Prices, however, are still below last week’s record high of $5,594.82 per ounce.

  U.S. gold futures for April delivery also rose sharply, climbing 6.3% to $4,945.60 per ounce.
