The latest reminder for the Modi government that action speaks louder than words has, once again, come from within the BJP.

Party MP Subramanian Swamy tweeted on Thursday in favour of “solid action on ground”. According to him, military action on the ground will avoid the India-Pak diplomatic hyphenations.

“In the dealing verbally with Pak we should guard against the danger of India-Pak hyphenation. Solid action on ground can avoid that,” Swamy, a Rajya Sabha MP, tweeted.

Two days ago, Swamy had also talked about different aspects of preparing for war. “Being prepared for war means : War aims, priorities of the aims, strategy of war, and human, financial & natural resource mobilization,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

A section of the BJP establishment is also in favour of action on the ground and feels that mere diplomacy is not enough to teach Pakistan a lesson after suspected Pakistani militants killed 18 soldiers at an army camp in Kashmir’s Uri on Sunday.
