In yet another incident of medical apathy, a woman was forced to deliver her baby in a horse cart in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh.
Reportedly, the woman was brought to the CHC hospital in the Mirgunj area for delivery, but due to negligence on the part of the hospital staff, the relatives of the pregnant woman had to carry out the delivery themselves outside the hospital gate.
In a similar incident in July, a woman was forced to deliver a baby on a horse cart in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh as the ambulance did not reach on time.
In another incident in July, a 23-year-old woman in Madhya Pradesh was forced to deliver a baby in a makeshift tent made of sarees outside a government hospital just because the doctors were attending a meeting.
