The US views the recent Indian elections as the “most successful democratic experiment and demonstration in modern history”, notes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted the electoral outcome, and believes that India’s democratic resilience gives New Delhi an edge in its competition with Beijing, Kurt Campbell, the American deputy secretary of state has said.
