On Diwali, Virat Kohli says spread light not noise; Mary Kom wants no pollution

In the festive time of Diwali, Indian cricket team members are having a break from their hectic schedule. The Virat Kohli-led side will play New Zealand in an ODI series starting on October 22 and before that they are spending some quality time with their family and friends.

Kohli, who wished his fans on Diwali, had a special message. In a video on social media, the Indian cricket captain can be seen getting irritated by the noise of the firecrackers and at the end of it comes a message ‘This Diwali spread light not noise’.

The 28-year-old star batsman’s views are in tandem with the Supreme Court’s decision to ban the sale of crackers in the Delhi-NCR region until November 1.

Several other cricketers including Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Mohammad Kaif, David Warner, Steve Smith, Suresh Raina, Pragyan Ojha also joined in Diwali wishes.
