14 year-old boy hit by a police van dies in hospital
A 14 year-old boy, who was seriously injured after he was hit by a District Armed Reserve (DAR) police van while riding a bicycle at Balehonnur near Chikmagalur died in hospital on Sunday, police said.

A 14 year-old boy, who was seriously injured after he was hit by a District Armed Reserve (DAR) police van while riding a bicycle at Balehonnur near Chikmagalur died in hospital on Sunday, police said.
The police van proceeding from Mangalore knocked him down. Though he was rushed to a hospital by local police he succumbed to his injuries there, police said.
People gathered at the spot demanding action against the police van driver but, dispersed later after the driver was arrested. Police seized the vehicle.
