15 injured in explosion at bus stand in Tamil Nadu

At least 15 persons, including four students, were injured when a country-made bomb on Monday exploded at a bus stand near Udumalpet, about 70 km from in Coimbatore, police said.

The explosion occurred at Kuzhumam bus stand in neighbouring Tiruppur district, they said, adding the cause of the explosion is being ascertained.

Police said they suspect it could be a country-made bomb.

Most of the injured had been admitted to local hospital and some were referred to the government hospital in Coimbatore, they said.
