15 people killed in Nainital bus accident

The bus fell into a gorge after the driver, apparently feeling sleepy, lost control of the vehicle, police said.

Fifteen people were killed, including four women, and 25 injured when the bus in which they were travelling fell into a gorge near Tallital in Nainital district of Uttaranchal on Thursday morning.

The Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus, on way to Nainital from New Delhi, fell into the ravine at Gethia in the district when its driver lost control of the vehicle, apparently feeling sleepy, Senior Superintendent of Police, Nainital, Alok Sharma said.
