Four members of a family - a couple and their two young children- were found dead inside their residence at nearby Ponalloor on Friday.

Police suspect that the couple strangled their two children, a four-year-old boy and two-year-old girl, before hanging themselves inside their residence at nearby Ponalloor under the Anthikad police station limits.

Financial problems could have forced the couple to take the extreme step, police said.
