Delhi is all set to get a whole lot hotter. After Saif Ali Khan’s Qurban and Imran Khan’s Delhi Belly, it’s now Balkiand Anil Kapoor who will be shooting their films in the Capital.
Balki’s Pa, which stars Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, will be shot at the end of June. According to a source from the crew, “The film will be shot in one of the prominent hotels of Delhi, at Pragati Maidan and at Lodhi colony. It’s a three-day-long shoot. Vidya is not traveling but both Amitabhji and Abhishek will be here.” Apparently the father-son duo needed some convincing to shoot here despite the scorching heat.
Anil Kapoor will start shooting Ayesha, which stars Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, in the Capital by June end. Last week, both Anil and his director Rajshri Ojha came down to Delhi to scout for locations for the fifteen-day-long shoot. “A part of the film is slated to be shot at the Garden of Five Senses and another at a luxury mall in Delhi,” says a crew member on condition of anonymity.
When HT City contacted Balki and Kapoor, both confessed they were coming to Delhi, but refused to reveal any further. Balki said, “The locations are yet to be finalised.” “Let us come and shoot the film first,” was what Kapoor had to say.
