Exactly one month after the Delhi gang rape shook the nation, a college student was allegedly molested on a state-owned Haryana Roadways bus on Tuesday morning while her co-passengers kept watching, amused by the show.

What’s more, the driver and the conductor, both state government employees, didn't come to her rescue. Instead, they blamed her dress — a pair of jeans and a T-shirt — for attracting attention.

The girl, a BSc first-year student, was on her way to college when a co-passenger groped her. She protested, but when he did not stop, she slapped the offender. And the driver and his colleague then turned on her for creating a scene.

But the matter did not end there. The girl went to her college and submitted a written complaint to her college principal, who then took up the matter with the Gurgaon Police.

But a police case is yet to be registered as the consent of the girl’s father — who is currently out of town and is expected to be back on Wednesday — is required for that. The girl was too shocked to file a formal complaint.
