Now, in an attempt to make them feel more at home with their new surroundings, freshers are being offered saucy new tutorials to teach them how to flirt and mingle with a crowd during Fresher’s week.

Promoting the online lessons is none other than Britain’s National Union of Students, which is enlisting the help of a club night which has been running in college bars across the country.

Sam Van Rood, a self-styled “date-doctor” revealed that the online course, offered at www.live2flirt.co.uk, is meant to help freshers ‘break the ice’, and show them how to relax and let their hair down in an environment that can be alien and intimidating.

“During freshers’ week everyone is a bit scared. It’s just about realising that everyone is in the same boat as you and having a few flirting tricks tucked up your sleeve,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.

“That way you can quickly and easily start to make new friends. It just takes someone to break the ice,” he added.
