A miscreant wanted in a number of cases and also alleged to have supplied arms and ammunitions to the Maoist ultras today surrendered in Darbhanga district, police sources said.

The miscreant, identified as Sunil Thakur, surrendered before the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) M R Naik at
Sanghwara police station in Darbhanga district, the sources said.

Thakur also handed over the district police chief one country-made pistol, two rifles and 22 rounds of ammunition.
He was wanted in a number of cases registered against him in different police stations of the district related to loot, murder and committing dacoity.
