The allowances have been enhanced following Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi announcement on it in his budget speech, an official release said in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The duty allowances of home guards volunteers will be Rs 150 per day from the existing Rs 100 per day with effect from July 1, 2010.
