Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who assumed office today, would seek a vote of confidence at a special one-day session of the assembly on September 14.

This was decided at the first cabinet meeting presided over by Munda, Chief secretary A K Singh told reporters in Ranchi.

Governor M O H Farooq had stipulated on September 9, when Munda had staked claim to form government, that he should prove his majority on the floor of the assembly within a week of taking oath.
