Army on Wednesday recovered huge quantity of explosives which were allegedly buried by 28 Battalion of ULFA in a remote village along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.

Army's 19 Kumaon Regiment unearthed 55 kg of gelatine sticks numbering 420 from Amarpur village near Sadiya in Assam's Tinsukia district, Army sources said in Dibrugarh.

ULFA's strikeforce 28 battalion's two companies "Alpha" and "Charlie" have gone on unilateral ceasefire.

Army does not rule out the possibility of the explosives belonging to the group. Explosives have been handed over to the police.
