Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s younger son Tejashwi is a crorepati school dropout, says his affidavit submitted with his nomination paper on Saturday.

Tejashwi, 26, was a student of a Delhi school but did not pursue studies beyond Class 9. He opted to become a cricketer and played at the national level before turning a businessman and social activist, according to the affidavit.
The career move appears to have been productive as Tejashwi has self-acquired assets worth `91.53 lakh.
This includes immoveable property — farmland and non-agricultural land at Bhulwarisharif and Gopalganj — in his name valued at `23.07 lakh.
He showed total moveable assets of `1.41 crore presumably along with the wealth he has inherited from his family. The moveable assets are distributed across seven bank accounts.
Besides, he has `1.2 lakh cash in hand, owns gold jewellery worth `2.6 lakh, and shares worth `5.38 lakh in an unspecified Indian company. The affidavit says he has also given an unsecured loan of `10.7 lakh to an ‘Indian company’.
Tejashwi has a liability of `34 lakh as loan from the Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank at Kankerbagh in Patna. He filed income tax return of `5.08 lakh for the 2014-15 fiscal.
The RJD leader also has a case registered against him in the Patna Kotwali police station.
