"BJP is purely a political party in its behaviour and organisational structure and is no more a part of the Parivar," he said.

"Only those organisations could be part of the Sangh Parivar who talk about Hindus and Hindutva and BJP has stopped talking about these issues," he said, adding that "issues like Ram Temple, Article 370 and Common Civil Code have been forgotten by the BJP which talks only about power these days".

The VHP leader was also critical of the BJP for not raising the issue of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's resignation from the Lok Sabha and National Advisory Council in a "proper manner".

"BJP was equally guilty on the issue as several of its MPs and MLAs continued to hold office of profits," he alleged.
