An explosion occurred on Sunday night near Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh's official residence in state capital Imphal but there were no casualties, police said.
A police spokesman said the blast took place around 8.30 pm between the chief minister's residence and the city's main post office.

"There are no reports of casualties and we are on the job to find out the nature of explosives used," a senior police official said on the telephone.
