BSP leader shot dead in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh

A Bahujan Samaj Party leader was allegedly shot dead by over half a dozen unidentified persons in a village in Mahoba after a petty dispute over distribution of fertiliser, police said.

A Bahujan Samaj Party leader was allegedly shot dead by over half a dozen unidentified persons in a village in Mahoba after a petty dispute over distribution of fertiliser, police said on Friday.

Block head of Kabrai, Balendra Mishra was shot dead by some half a dozen unidentified persons including Ashok, Vikram Yadav and others after they entered into heated debate with Mishra on distribution of fertilisers to farmers in village Bhandara under Srinagar police circle on Thursday.

Mishra received seven to eight gun shots and died on the spot, they said.

An FIR in this matter was registered by the police, which has launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
