Yeddyurappa has asked his party leaders and BJP MLAs loyal to him to attend the meeting in Bangalore to "teach a lesson to the Jagadish Shettar government".

Yeddyurappa had said during the recent 'Vidhana Soudha Chalo' agitation that Shettar's "inefficient" government would collapse before the end of January.

The BJP however maintained that there is no threat to the Shettar government.

Deputy CM and state BJP president KS Eashwarappa said the government would survive till the end of its term and that Shettar would present the budget.

But BJP sources said the party would wait for BSY to make his move and then decide how to deal with it.
