Chhattisgarh govt removes two officials after PMT paper leak

Chhattisgarh government today removed the controller of examination and head of the professional courses examination board in the wake of the leak of pre-medical entrance test question paper and subsequent cancellation of the exam.

Chhattisgarh government today removed the controller of examination and head of the professional courses examination board in the wake of the leak of pre-medical entrance test question paper and subsequent cancellation of the exam. According to sources, Chief Minister Raman Singh has taken a serious view of the paper leak and ordered the removal of the two officers.

In a statement here, Singh said the culprits would not be spared. Police came to know about the paper leak on Saturday evening and arrested 12 youths.

The police had found that some 80 Pre-Medical Test (PMT) aspirants were being tutored on the basis of the leaked paper in Bilaspur district. The exam was cancelled yesterday. Bilaspur SP Ajay Yadav today said that police is looking for the main accused Santosh and Om. Yadav further said that despite questioning of the students, who had accessed the leaked paper, they were not able to get to the source of the leak.
