Chief secretary Iqbal Khanday was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here, after reporting some discomfort. On Sunday evening, Kahnday was reportedly feeling a bit uncomfortable and came to GMCH at 11 pm, where he was kept under observation in cardiac care unit for the night. He was discharged at 6am on Monday.

GMCH's cardiology head Dr Sushil Sharma said, "The chief secretary had slight lung infection. He was kept under observation in the night. He was absolutely fine when discharged in the morning."He said Khanday did not have any history of cardiac disease. All the body perimeters, including blood pressure, were normal, Dr Sharma said.
