CHIRAYU HEALTH and Medicare Hospital of Bhopal has been rated as the best hospital in the City through a survey conducted by ‘The Week’ magazine recently.
The Week-TNS survey for the year 2005 was carried out by the market information company TNS. It conducted a poll across 20 cities, among 680 general practitioners, 1007 specialists, 401 medical aspirants and 405 fresh medical graduates to assess the quality of healthcare provided by hospitals in those cities.
Addressing a press conference here today, Chirayu Hospital MD and Director Dr Ajay Goenka said that the hospital had secured a sort of hat-trick by attaining first position in Bhopal for the third year running. He informed that in Bhopal the survey covered 56 general practitioners and specialists with 55 per cent of them voting for Chirayu.
“This is just a reassurance for us as well as our patients that for the last 15 years we have been working to the best of our ability in providing healthcare in the city,” Dr Goenka said. He added that the hospital was gradually expanding its facilities.
“This year, we have added a dental section while a blood bank has been set up and awaiting final clearance from the authorities concerned,” stated Dr Goenka.
He emphasised that with 24 junior doctors and more than 30 specialists on its rolls, this 100-bedded hospital has modern medicare and diagnostic facilities to handle any kind of medical emergency. In addition to its existing facilities like CT scan, Chirayu now has facilities for digital X-ray, lithotripsy and mammography as well, Dr Goenka informed.
