A 'Film Bazar' organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry at International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will project the country as shooting destination, besides holding a crash course on film marketing.
"Italy, France and UK along with Indian film exporters would participate in the bazar to be inaugurated on November 25 at IFFI venue in Panaji," N Vidyasagar, director (entertainment), CII said.
Amongst the foreign countries, Italy has already signed co-production treaty with India while a pact with the UK is taking final shape and is likely to be signed in December this year.
"A delegation from Italy, comprising experts in film production, is arriving in Goa on December 29 on a two-day visit," stated Vidyasagar.
In the bazar, Bobby Bedi's Kaleidoscope company would be promoting their yet-to-be-shot Mahabharata, he said.
Besides the major film companies, National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Children Film Society of India and Films Division will set up their stalls. Doordarshan and Akashvani will chip in with their archives.
There will be interactive sessions with global sales agents, including Michael Taverna from Monte Christo, Helder Dacosta, biggest distributor of Indian films in Latin American countries, A B Moosa, distributor for Indian films in South Africa and John Lee, who runs entertainment business network company in USA.

There will be interactive sessions with global sales agents, including Michael Taverna from Monte Christo, Helder Dacosta, biggest distributor of Indian films in Latin American countries, A B Moosa, distributor for Indian films in South Africa and John Lee, who runs entertainment business network company in USA.

"The conference aims to inform what kind of movies should be produced, how to produce them and market them," said Vidyasagar.
Noted film personalities like Ashutosh Gowarikar, Nagesh Kuknoor, Kamal Hassan and Manmohan Shetty would guide in the workshop, Vidyasagar added.
