No one was injured, as the theatre was empty as the fire broke out after the show ended, they said.

The chairs, ceiling and screen of 'Girija Theatre', one of the oldest movie houses in the town, were destroyed completely in the fire.

Two fire tenders worked for over an hour to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they said.
