CM announces grant to rehabilitate German bakery

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan today granted Rs 14.23 lakh as compensation from CM relief fund for the rehabilitation of German and Quality Bakeries, damaged in a blast in February in Pune in which 17 persons were killed.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan today granted Rs 14.23 lakh as compensation from CM relief fund for the rehabilitation of German and Quality Bakeries, damaged in a blast in February in Pune in which 17 persons were killed.

The Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 14.23 lakh from his relief fund for the bakeries, an official release stated.

On February 13, a blast, suspected to be triggered by terror outfit Indian Mujahideen, had rocked German Bakery in Koregaon Park in Pune killing 17 persons.

German Bakery and its adjoining eatery Quality Bakery had suffered damages costing at Rs 12.73 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh respectively, the release stated.
