"We have met the Election Commissioner and informed him that despite our earlier complaints and representations, the abuse and misuse of police force and other government machinery was constinuing and have stressed that there was no alternative but to remove police officials and deploy CRPF personnel," GPCC Chief Luisinho Faleiro told reporters here.

Faleiro alleged "hundreds of minority voters had been deleted from the rolls," and claimed BJP workers were harassing locals, `threatening' them not to attend Congress meetings.

"The Congress also brought to the EC's notice that the Parrikar Government had misled the EC on the issue of cheques distributed through Dayanand Social Security Scheme", he said, alleging that the money was "in the Chief Minister's drawer and he was distributing it during election time."
