'Congress ties with DMK to be decided only after poll dates'

Senior Congress leader EVKS Elangovan today said the continuation of his party's alliance with DMK would be known only after elections for the Tamil Nadu assembly were announced.

As of now, the bond between the two parties was strong, he told reporters here.

Justifying the AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi not meeting DMK patriach and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi during his visits to Chennai, Elangovan said even Congress leaders are not informed about his visit. "Nobody should mistake if Rahul Gandhi did not call on the DMK chief."
