HOTEL FORTUNE Landmark is all set to host the Indian and English cricket teams and provide them with traditional Malwi hospitality. The hotel has launched an eight-day cricket festival for its customers from today. Former Test player Narendra Hirwani inaugurated the festival.
Fortune Landmark director R K Gupta, general manager Gopi Nayar and F&B manager Manohar Gurang told media persons here today that experienced chefs from ITC Welcome Group would arrive in Indore to prepare Mughlai, Hyderabadi, Chinese, Continental and Malwi delicacies for the cricket players. ITC Welcome Grand Maratha Mumbai chef Paul Naronha would also arrive here.
The hotel has already received the list of favourite dishes of the players. Gupta elaborated that Landmark Fortune would host the teams in a traditional Malwi style. He added that the whole hotel had been redecorated with bats, balls, stumps, green carpet, nets and other cricket accessories. The seventh and last match of the one-day series between India and England would be played in Indore on April 15.
Both teams would arrive in the City on April 13. The reception, lobby, gates, rooms and passages of the hotel have been decorated with photographs of Indian cricketers with an account of their achievements. National Flags of India and England have been put up in the coffee shop of the hotel. A 12-feet bat has been mounted in the lobby with another bat to take the
autographs of the players.

The hotel authorities have made a separate gallery with pictures, life history and interesting facts about great cricketers Late Mushtaq Ali and C K Nayudu. The coffee shop also has a screen that would show highlights of the previous matches played between India and England.
The vegetarian and non-vegetarian items included in the cricket festival have been renamed as caught behind, silly point, hit wicket, stumped, cover drive, out swing, hook, late cut, full toss, over the wicket, caught and bowled, short of length etc.
