Underworld don and main accused in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts Dawood Ibrahim continues to live in the Pakistani port city of Karachi along with his brother and other wanted persons, according to Mohammed Jabreel Khan, cook of Dawood's brother Anees Ibrahim.
Khan, whose confessional statement was recorded before a magistrate on Thursday night, has told investigators that Dawood was living in Karachi and gave his address as 13, Defence Housing Authority, Cliffton.
Khan, against whom a look-out notice had been issued by Indian authorities in 1999, was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and handed over to the local police on Tuesday while disembarking from a Karachi-Delhi Pakistan International Airways flight.
The Immigration Bureau also found that he was travelling with a passport that contained no arrival/departure stamps of Pakistan and forged visa stamps of the Republic of Kenya.
During a joint interrogation by police and central security agencies, Khan, a resident of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, said he was thrown out by Anees after he was detected with a serious disease. He had been working with him since 1999 at his 46-Cliffton, Karachi, home.
The cook told the investigators that he had seen Dawood only one-and-a-half years ago, although other members of the D-company, including Mustakeen and Noora, were regular visitors to the residence of Anees.
