The court had asked them to appear in person while restraining Anti-Corruption Bureau from arresting them until their plea was heard.

Judge SP Mahajan, hearing the plea for anticipatory bail, on January 25, also directed Komal and Padte to deposit their passports with the ACB. The passport of Nayak is already deposited with the police commissioner, the court was told.

The court had also directed them not to leave the jurisdiction of the city until their matter is heard.

Nayak is facing the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income while Komal and Padte are facing allegations of helping Nayak in laundering his ill-gotten wealth.
