The Faridabad deputy commissioner Praveen Kumar personally monitored the drive. The first such drive was undertaken in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. While moving with men and machines, Kumar ordered removing of footpaths, unauthorised constructions, pavements, etc., which cause hindrance to smooth traffic.

During the two nights, Kumar covered every big and small crossing from Ballabgarh to Sarai Kwaja near Badarpur. At Old Faridabad chowk, some people were preparing food at a pavement that was to be demolished; the deputy commissioner arranged dinner for them and shifted them to a nearby place.

The officials of other departments were also accompanying Kumar through out the operation, which started at Neelam Chowk at 8 pm on Saturday.

On Monday evening, the operation started at Magpir Chowk and covered Old Faridabad, Badkhal Chowk, NHPC Chowk and Sarai Kwaja among others.

Efforts were also made to fill the pits on the roads during the drive. Due to this drive, the commuters experienced a slight relief when they witnessed widened roads on Sunday and Tuesday morning.

“The process has just begun. Now we will begin reconstruction process,” Kumar said. The deputy commissioner is also in the process of removing the roundabouts of Faridabad. “Yes, we have to get rid of roundabouts as has been done in Chandigarh,” Kumar said.
