Coordinator of the programme Prof Babban Mishra and Dr Chandra Bhushan Ankur claimed here that they had tried their best to ensure the success of the programme.

The organising committee was keeping a close vigil on the happening in the city and in the State, they said and ruled out apprehensions that disturbance in Varanasi could cast its shadow on the convocation.

However, they admitted that due to busy scheduled, the chancellor had given only one and half-hour time for the programme.

According to officials sources, the governor will arrive here at 10.05 am at the Circuit House and from there he will reached the venue at 10.30 am. At 12 noon he discuss various problems with officials and peoples’ representative at the Circuit House. He will also visit to Aurangabad village, famous for its clay manufacturing. From here he will go to Shaheed Sthali at Chauri Chaura from where he will leave for Lucknow.

Responding to a question, Mishra said decision was taken in view of the busy schedule of the governor. He appealed to the students and teachers to participate in the programme in large number.
