Delhi girls registered their second consecutive win after beat their counterparts from Chattisgarh 4-2 in the 17th Nehru Juniors Girls Hockey Tournament here at the National Stadium on Thursday.
It was Adarsh Girls High School Durg Chhattisgarh who managed to scored the first goal of the match in the eleventh minute.
Govt Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Nangloi, Delhi however came back strong in 22nd minute as they converted a penalty corner.
It was in the 34th and 50th minute that Delhi converted two more penalty corners and took control of the match.
Two minutes later however Chhattisgarh did manage to score another goal as well but in the 59th minute Delhi scored its fourth goal of the match to win it comfortably in the end. Delhi's Manju was declared as the player of the match.
In another match, Bhoj Girls Higher Secondary, Dhar from Madhya Pradesh thrashed Our Lady of Rosary High School, Goa 7-0. Samjhana Oli was the player of the match.
New Model English Junior College from Kolhapur, Maharashtra also won their encounter 7-2 against Jhapandanga Sabitri Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Burdwan, West Bengal. Maharashtra's skipper Rama Pontis was declared player of the match for scoring four goals.

{{/usCountry}}MEG Bangalore proceeded to the next round of the Durand Cup today after beating J&K Bank 3-1 at Ambedkar Stadium.
The stadium, which is free to enter for the the cup, saw MEG keeping control of the game for long periods of time. The opener came from a penalty after MEG’s Gurangi Lal was fowled from behind in the box. Lal would later add a second to his tally
J&K were not complacent, and had it not been for some excellent saves by MEG goalkeeper Sujith, would have equalized in the second half. Ajiraj Phillip scored the final goal for MEG, while Showkst Wadoo took one back for J&K's pride in the dying moments of the game.
Earlier in the day, TATA FC lost 3-5 to AOC Secundrabad, who will face MEG Bangalore on Saturday.
