Dilli Haat to kiosk tribal art from tomorrow

About 400 artisans from various parts of the country would display their products at the Delhi Haat from tomorrow.

In a bid to give exposure to tribal craft and encourage their marketing, the Tribal Cooperation Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) would showcase these products at an exposition in New Delhi from Tuesday.

About 400 artisans from various parts of the country would display their products at the Delhi Haat in New Delhi and present tribal dances and cuisines on the occasion, an official release said.

The exposition, titled Aadishilp, to be inaugurated by Tribal Affairs Minister PR Kyndiah, would provide the tribal artisans a platform to showcase their creations in metal, terracota, textile, bamboo, jewellery and forest products.

TRIFED has organised such expositions in different places including Udaipur, Bhopal, Guwahati, Kinnaur and Kullu in Himachal Pradesh.
