"The selectors decided this at a meeting on Friday night," Shah told reporters on Saturday.

The 33-year-old Dravid took over the captaincy from Sourav Ganguly in October last year and has been highly successful, especially in the one-day format.

He led India to a 6-1 triumph over Sri Lanka and drew 2-2 with South Africa in the subsequent one-day series at home and topped it with a 4-1 victory in the one-day series in Pakistan earlier this year.
