The forms and documents submitted by the beneficiaries would be verified again to find out those who had submitted fake marriage certificates, State Women and Child Department Director, Sunil Masurkar told PTI today.

'Grih Adhar' is a flagship scheme by the state government wherein the housewives are paid Rs 1,000 a month by the state government as an attempt to fight inflation.

The department officials came to know about it when a media report pointed out of fake marriage certificates, which may have been used to get scheme benefits.

Masurkar said that once fake beneficiaries are identified the recovery proceedings would be initiated against them trying to get back all the money which they had enjoyed under this scheme.

The department has already began the inquiry it into the entire scam.
