IDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CB Singh said that around 200 of the total of about 250 farmers, whose land will come under the scheme, have already given in writing to the IDA their willingness for the proposal of getting 20 per cent fully developed land in lieu of their land affected by the ambitious project that connects Airport with MR-10. Besides, 16 more landowners have assured the IDA that they are also willing to support the IDA proposal.

The IDA had held a final public hearing of affected farmers at its premises yesterday to know their preference. Apart from senior IDA officials, IDA Chairman Madhu Verma, who is the mastermind behind the 20 per cent land proposal, was also present at the hearing yesterday.
