Fiona MacKeown, mother of the slain British teenager Scarlett Keeling, plans to return to Goa, where the girl was killed, to commemorate her daughter's first death anniversary and request the release of her organs.
Keeling's body was brought to Britain and is currently in a morgue in Exeter. However, several of her body parts are missing, MacKeown says, and hopes to have them released from the authorities in Goa.
Alleging that she had to fight the police and Indian authorities at every stage of the investigation, MacKeown said: "I had expected them to take bits, samples, but I brought her back and there was a lot missing.
"Her spleen and her uterus. All that had gone. They told me it was normal procedure, but I tried to tie them down to find out what the exact procedure was, but there isn't one. It seems that they do what they want.
"It was just another massive blow. They have been extremely insensitive about the whole thing."
Speaking to The Guardian, she said that in October she was summoned to appear in court in India over charges of neglect, but did not go. Last week she was reportedly cleared of the charge.

MacKeown said she was let down by British officials in India too.
